If you would like to enrol in an employment related course at Brunswick Neighbourhood House you may be eligible for the following financial help:

 

Parent Return to Earning Program

Under this program parents who have been out of the workforce and absent from education or accredited training for 2 years can access up to $1,000 to pay for either accredited or pre-accredited employment related training.  If you are wishing to enrol in our English and Learning courses the 2 years condition does not apply.  Funds can be used for training and associated childcare, travel, books.  Interested parties need to apply for a grant through AMES.  Further information can be found on www.returningtoearning.com.au or by phoning 1300 303 413

 

Education Entry Payment/Pensioner Education Supplement

Centrelink clients who are receiving the Newstart Allowance, Parenting Payment (partnered), Partner Allowance, Widow Allowance, Youth Allowance, Carer Payment (adult), Carer Payment (child), Disability Support Pension, Parenting Payment (single), Special Benefit, Widow B Pension or Wife Pension can potentially access up to $1,158 if they enrol in accredited training up until 30 June, 2010.   Proof of enrolment needs to be provided to Centrelink who will assess your eligibility.  Further information can be found on line at www.centrelink.gov.au > Individuals > Payments > Education Entry Payment or speak to Centrelink.
